BRAYTON LAGUNA COLORFUL ROOSTER FIGURINE

"In view of its innovations and influence, the Brayton Laguna Pottery ranks as one of the foremost companies in the history of Southern California Pottery." -Jack Chipman, author of Collector's Encyclopedia of California Pottery, Second Edition.  Durlin Brayton founded Brayton Laguna Pottery in 1927 in Laguna Beach, California. The distinctive mark on this colorful rooster in Durlin Brayton's own handwriting dates it from 1930 to 1937. According to Chipman, because of the company's reputation for quality figurines it was the first pottery licensed by the Walt Disney Studios to produce ceramic likenesses of their famous animated characters. This delightful rooster is 8" long from beak to tail and 5" tall. The base is 3" in diameter. And it comes with no chips or repairs.  (Item 3706)  To see other California Pottery CLICK HERE.
