This magnificent eagle is a
whopping 15" tall with a wing span of 9¾." Maynard
Anthony Freeman is the designer. He is the Freeman as in the Freeman-McFarlin Pottery Company.
This now defunct California company began in 1927 with a bevy of talented
designers. Anthony uses his glaze sparingly on this wonderful figurine
treating eyes, beak and talons with a rustic gold glaze. The rest of his
body is a dark matt finish. The eagle's neck is treated with a white
crackle glaze. He is in super mint condition. No chips, cracks or repairs.
