Very cute oriental gentleman named
"Wong-Li." Artist
initials appear to be JK. As the bottom right photo shows Wong-Li was
created in 1949. The company was founded by two brothers, Eric and
Walter Gort. Unfortunately, their endeavor was short lived. The company
began in 1944 and ended in 1954. However, the quality of their offerings
is unsurpassed. Their attention to detail is exemplary. They created a
large number of birds and animals and all are first rate. Most figurines
are marked. Wong-Li is about 6" tall with no chips, cracks or
