SELF-MAILING VILBO CARD

DESIGNER: MISS PETTICOAT

The front of this cute, quality, porcelain card bears the signature "Miss Petticoat," the name of the designer. On the back Miss Petticoat has  appropriately named this scene simply "Snowman." Initially, it was believed that this was the name given to the  young lady in the scene.  Such is not the case, however. "Miss Petticoat," the designer, created a number of Vilbo Cards for V&B all signed on the front "Miss Petticoat."
Vilbo cards were created as self-mailers to be sent through the post office. Apparently, most if not all these cards were produced in the 1980's. The box above contains a card board sheath and Styrofoam liner used to protect the porcelain card. The back of the card reveals a hook for hanging. The original package also includes a pamphlet showing a large number of other cards that were available. Since these delightful cards are no longer being produced they have become very popular as  collectibles. The box and paper material are only slightly worn.
