STANGL CRESTED GOLDFINCH
Also Known As Evening Grosbeak

The popular name for this Stangl Bird is "Evening Grosbeak." However, the official name, according to Rob Runge in his book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Stangl Artware, Lamps, and Birds," is Crested Goldfinch. This one carries an artist initial  but it is not decipherable. Under glaze is the word "Stangl" and scratched in the clay are the numbers 3813.
