STANGL TWO TONE TERRA ROSE RARE AND UNUSUAL BIRD

                                                                    SHAPE #3737
Huh? What is this? An abstract "Roadrunner?" A peacock? A mythical creature from the past? What say you? Whatever he is, he's large, over 13" tall, and he's extremely hard to find. Rob Runge in his fabulous book
"Collector's Encyclopedia of Artware, Lamps and Birds," page 365, simply calls this quaint fellow a "Bird," a bird vase to be precise.  According to Runge, Stangl produced this for only one year in 1944. A minor, minor ding on his tail has been professionally and invisibly restored
