Elliot, Boy Tennis Player, stands before a 4"
bowl. The bowls that accompanied many
of Helen Slater's creations often held pencil holders or flowers.
So they were not only
clever, they served a useful purpose. The paper label reads
"Poppets by Poppytrail,
Metlox Pottery Manhattan Beach California USA." Elliot is
6½" tall and in great shape
with no chips, cracks or repairs. He looks a bit lonesome without his
partner, Melinda, the girl tennis player, but perhaps she'll be along
