Skipper, the Sailor Boy is a
toppet designed by Helen Slater for the Metlox Pottery Company of
Manhattan Beach, California. Not many were made of this cute young fellow.
He's 5" tall. His cap can be used for flowers or pencils on whatever one
might want on his desk. Slater designed approximately 88 poppets (not
toppets) altogether. Some are very scarce and much in demand by many
collectors from coast to coast. Skipper has no chips, cracks or repairs.
