St. Francis is the patron saint of birds and animals.
As the story goes, he preached to the
birds and they listened and he preached to them
often. Helen Slater captures the spirit of this
saint of the 11th century by dressing him in
simple monks attire and allowing the birds to
rest on his shoulders and hands. The bird bath is
a nice touch. He's 7½" tall with no chips, cracks
or repairs. (item 3161)
