Villeroy & Boch designed these cards as a
self-mailer. The photos above show a Styrofoam
liner used to protect the porcelain card. The back of the card reveals a
hook for hanging. The original package also includes a pamphlet showing
a large number of other cards that were available. Missing here is the outside "mailer" sheath
which was used to address the card for mailing. Since these delightful
cards are no longer being produced they have become very popular as
collectibles. The Styrofoam sheath and paper material are only slightly
worn. The porcelain card, which measures 4x7, is perfect. (item
